JP started a Saturday hiking group many years ago. When Probus formalised its hiking groups, JP graciously handed over his group to the Probus fold. (Details about the group are in the Probus WhatsApp Community)
The hike scheduled for 13 December was turned into a memorial hike in Silvermine - one of JP's favourite hiking places. The flowers were out in profusion after the fire, paying a fitting tribute to a legend.
